How physical are your tours. I'm not a mountain climber.
Each tour is different and we will make every attempt to assist you in choosing
the right trip. Most tours do not require a high level of physical conditioning, and many can be modified for certain parts, but others
are to remote areas and are just simply not suited for everyone. Please feel free to contact us with any questions at all.
More importantly
have an open mind, flexibility, and a spirit of adventure to accept the uniqueness of other cultures and foods.
What is the group size for your tours? From 1-10 people. Our groups are very small and vary by tour. For the jungle we take only four
guests to minimize the impact and improve the wildlife viewing. On other tours we can easily accept up to 10 people, but that is the
maximum size.
What does the cost include? The cost includes all ground expenses as noted in the detailed itinerary we send you, however there will
occasionally be minor changes. In general the cost includes:
All ground transportation
All lodging
Airport transfers
Guides
Entry
fees and permits as required
Some meals
Internal airfares
Generally the cost does not include:
International airfares
Meals - this
is so you can experiment and explore on your own.
Laundry, liquor, phone calls, and other items of personal nature
Gratuities for
guides and staff
Can you make a customized trip for us?
Yes we can definitely make a tour to suit your needs. Just let us know what you like and we'll make it happen.
Why are there no prices on the website? Why have tier pricing?
We do not post the costs on the website because things change so rapidly these days. Fuel costs, food costs, transportation costs, internal airfares and exchange rates can fluxuate wildly so the posted cost could easily be outdated in a very short time. In general our tour prices range from USD$2500 to USD$6000 per person, so please feel free to contact us about any tour cost.
For your convenience, we also use tier pricing to guarantee the departures. A tour may allow a group size of ten guests, but if only five register, we charge you that rate and the trip departs as scheduled. If you want to close the tour to your party only, you may do that, however the cost will be a little higher than if it is an open tour allowing more guests.
With the tier pricing, deposits and initial payments are due as normal, but any adjustments for group size will be reflected in the final payment. Please contact us with any questions.
The itineraries seem a little vague. Are they well planned?
Yes our itineraries are very well planned, but they are a little different from other companies. We don't believe that following a strict schedule is the best way to experience the scenery, and culture of an area. Also, because most of our tours are in Third World countries, weather, political situations, transportation issues can be somewhat unpredictable forcing us to be flexible in our schedules.
We think of our itineraries as guidelines, and let the trip develop within those, which means that every tour is unique.
